There is something pretty special about walking into a candy store.

Maybe it brings back a childhood memory. Maybe you discover a candy you've never tried before. Or maybe you just need a little something sweet to brighten your day.

That is exactly the feeling we wanted to create with Yooper Sweets.

Located in downtown Iron River, Michigan, Yooper Sweets is a locally owned candy shop created by Brooke Stine with a whole lot of creativity, hard work, family support, and love for Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula.

From the beginning, Brooke wanted Yooper Sweets to be more than shelves filled with candy. She wanted it to be an experience — colorful, fun, welcoming and just a little bit magical.

A Candy Shop Inspired by the U.P.

When you step inside Yooper Sweets, you'll notice that we do things a little differently.

Our shop was inspired by one of the most incredible sights you can experience in the Upper Peninsula — the Northern Lights.

Purple hues, twinkling lights and colorful details help give the store its fun Yooper personality. Even our logo celebrates the U.P., complete with the Upper Peninsula, Northern Lights and our bright green gummy bear.

It's our little way of combining two things we love: the U.P. and sweets!

Yooper Bag Pick, Mix & Make It Yours

One of our favorite parts of Yooper Sweets is giving you the chance to create your own candy adventure.

Our shop is filled with colorful gummies, sour candies, nostalgic favorites, Swedish candy and all kinds of sweet surprises.

Create your own mix, fill a Yooper Bag, try something you've never tasted before or grab an old favorite you haven't seen in years.

And because we know not everyone can make the trip to Iron River, we're bringing some of that Yooper Sweets fun online so you can enjoy it from wherever you call home.

More Than Candy

If you visit us in person, candy is only the beginning.

We've created our own Signature Lemonades, including flavors inspired by life in the U.P., along with our fun Dirty Popcorn creations, and freshly made Cotton Candy (check availability may be seasonal).

You might sip on a Northern Lights Lemonade, try a Lake Superior Splash or dig into a cup of Moose Tracks Crunch dirty popcorn.

We also have cotton candy and plenty of new treats rotating through the shop.

There is almost always something new to discover.

Built With a Dream — and a Lot of Family Help

Yooper Sweets began with an idea and grew into a real downtown storefront through determination, creativity and plenty of hands-on work.

Like many small businesses, it wasn't created overnight.

There were walls to finish, counters to build, equipment to install, candy to order, recipes to test, labels to make and about a thousand little decisions along the way.

But watching an idea turn into a place where people walk through the door smiling made every bit of it worthwhile.

Yooper Sweets is proudly locally owned and operated, and we're incredibly grateful for the community that has supported us from the very beginning.

From Iron River to Your Door

Our little candy shop may be tucked away in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, but the Yooper Sweets adventure doesn't have to stop at the U.P. border.

Through our online shop, we're excited to pack up some of our favorite sweets and send a little piece of Yooper happiness your way.
